What is the Physician Clinical Support System for Primary Care (PCSS-P)?Background About PCSS-P PCSS-P is built around a group of knowledgeable and experienced clinicians organized into a responsive network working under the coordination of co-medical directors David Fiellin, MD and Louis Baxter, MD, with the support of veteran administrative staff.
How PCSS-P is funded The project is subcontract by a grant from the National Institutes of Health, National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). It is administered by the American Society of Addiction Medicine. The New York Academy of Medicine provides the evaluation component. PCSS-P maintains communication with the specialty societies of primary care physicians and has specific contributions from members of the Society of General Internal Medicine and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.
